The Holidays Bring All The Feels

Holiday Self-Care

As I started writing an article on Holiday Self-Care I didn’t realize how deep I would dive or how much it would affect me… until I had furiously written seven pages and wasn’t slowing down.

The holiday season can bring an avalanche of emotions for many different reasons.

For me, I’ve always loved the holiday season – but I know lots of folks who don’t feel the same way. Is it because the end of the year can bring about a feeling of despair, remembering all those big plans you had for the year and realizing none of them were fulfilled? Or, is it because there hasn’t been a holiday as good as that one White Christmas from your childhood? And this doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of people dealing with family, being solo, navigating religions and beliefs, and many other topics that can arise at this time of year.

It’s no reason the holidays can make you weep, scream, and sing with alternating joy and frustration.

Whatever the case may be for you and your holiday emotions, I invite you to read my The Sex Ed article and hope that the checklists and advice I included can give you a merrier season.
